We currently have an exciting opportunity for you to join STI Ltd as a Special Processes Operator, based at our manufacturing site in Hook, Hampshire. This role is offered on a full time, permanent basis.
The shift pattern is below:
Monday – Thursday: 7:30am – 4:00pm
Friday: 7:30am – 1:00pm
As the Special Processes Operator, you will carry out activities across Special Processes, Wash and Wave Solder to quality and industry standards.
The Special Processes Operator role will involve:
Creating programmes, operating and maintaining the router and select solder machines
Preparing and cleaning PCBs and stencils for production
Pre-forming, tin dipping, masking and cutting PCBs out of panels
Carrying out press fits
Running the wash machines and delivering boards back to production
Maintaining the wash machines and working with Engineering on issues
Masking PCBs
Selecting or producing programmes for the Wave Solder machine
Running and maintaining the Wave Solder machine
Complying with all 5S activities as required
For this role, you will need:
Ability to work to written instructions and bills of materials
IPC certifications are desirable but not required as full training can be provided
Experience is desirable but not required as full training can be provided
Understanding of component identification codes such as resistors, capacitors and ICs is desirable but not required as full training can be provided High attention to detail and accuracy
